Project management of a $30M+ private hospital base build project and ground floor (1,300m2) fit-out on Peterborough St, Christchurch. The ground floor includes a café and a high quality fit-out of consultation rooms for four different tenants/medical specialists. Base build works were constructed by Fletcher Construction and the fit-out works ($4M) completed by a smaller contractor, Simon Construction. The building is the first in New Zealand to use Precast Seismic Structural System (PRESSS) technology in steel construction. It's piles are as deep as the height of the building and its interlocking steel frame is designed to absorb energy during earthquakes. It is also NZ's first Green Star medical centre.
